Direction first
The idea before the camera. A shoot without a direction is just an expensive way to fill a folder.
Bullish Media is two founders and a short list of clients. We do creative direction first, then everything that follows from it — production, management, strategy — for hotels, restaurants and bars across the Bay Islands.
Being based here is the whole point. We know the light, the seasons and the service times, and we are twenty minutes away when something needs reshooting. No fly-in crews, no day rates with flights attached.

Two founders on every project. The people you meet are the people who shoot it, cut it and post it.
One shoot should feed months, not a fortnight. We plan for coverage and hand over a library you own.
We report what moved and what did not. A quiet month is more useful said out loud than hidden in a chart.
There is no account manager here, and nobody to hand you off to. The two of us take the brief, run the shoot, cut the edit and answer the phone afterwards — which is why the work stays consistent and why decisions take an afternoon instead of a fortnight.
